We get to find out about his first meeting with M, and how he is recruited. This is a Bond with a conscience, which I personally like, but others may not. I do not want to give away any of the plotlines, but suffice it to say that the story is a quick read, with lots of action, villains who are truly twisted, and a main character that you can root for.
